While I’m not really a fan of random Youtube videos, I do have a place in my heart for amazing web series. Unlike TV shows which require years of commitment or movies which are 2 hour quickies, a good webisode series can fill up almost any space of time you need some entertainment. Among my favorite series, Ronna & Beverly has been one of the most buzzed about in the past year. Like Quarterlife (the short-lived web-to-NBC flop), they also had a potential TV show in the works – on glossy Showtime.
Although their show never made it to series (Showtime did air the pilot at the end of 2009 as a one-time event), the duo has a wide following in Los Angeles and on the internet. Along with performing at UCB for years, they have also toured the country, and taken to Twitter to spread their yenta gospel.
