you can do it, lil guy! via the daily green

It’s always good to give back after a disaster happens, and even better when businesses and artists chip in to sell products with proceeds going to disaster relief. The Gulf Coast oil spill is still ravaging our water supply, and animal and plant life, but luckily it only takes a few minutes to get on the web and do your part. Here are our top picks for fun merch with proceeds going to the Gulf Coast disaster relief.

“Protect our Gulf” tee

Yep, this one comes from The Real World: New Orleans. But how cute is it? Helvetica can do no wrong. And 100% of profits go to the NRDC Gulf Recovery Fund. Buy your own tee here for just 15 bucks.

Gulf Bird Rescue Copper Pendant

Etsy has set up a shop specifically for sellers with product profits going to the Gulf Coast disaster. This pendant necklace from seller Polka Dot Magpie is 45 bucks with zero shipping costs. Buy the pendant here, and then check out the rest of Etsy’s Gulf Coast relief shop.

S.O.S. Beer

For every bottle of this brew sold, Abita Beer will donate 75 cents to the disaster relief. Described as an “unfiltered Weizen Pils is made with Pilsner and Wheat malts” (aka, beer, yum), this beer has an adorable label and does good things for the earth while it does iffy things to your liver. Use Abita Beer’s store locator to find somewhere that sells the stuff, then host a Gulf Coast Relief Party with your purchases!

Oil Spill Condoms

Keep things clean while you help clean up the earth! (See what I did there?) These condoms are real, FDA approved latex condoms, and can be purchased in packs of 1 (5 bucks), 3 (12 bucks), 10 (30 bucks), 25 (50 bucks), or 100 (150 bucks.) You’re gonna use them anyway (or you seriously better), so why not donate to a good cause in the meantime? I mean, you’re getting laid, so you obviously have it at least pretty good. Give back some of your good fortune here. 20% of all proceeds go to the Gulf Coast Oil Spill Fund.
